Here again

Here it is I'm trying to write in this blog again. Since I've last posted my family of 8 has grown to 9. No, we have not had a new baby, we are watching our god daughter for a few months to help her mom out. Are we crazy? I hope not. I just know that we have been through so much on our own that now when someone needs help I try my best.

Well here I am in Chi-town again. I miss my family, but I love being up here. I guess I'm getting more time to myself without any kids or wife to interrupt.

On another note, I really don't have much appreciation for most of the current music that plays on the radio. There are a few that catch my ear every now and then, but to me it doesn't have the soul like the songs from the 90's. Since I was born in 1980 most of my music taste revolves around the 90's. Back when the West Coast had the music industry on lock. Back when life was so easy! Even the rap songs had smooth melodies! Let me post this so I can sit back and enjoy some more music. Have a great day!

Also if you are following me or happen to come across this by accident, please leave a comment. Whether it is a smiley face or you telling me that I suck. Just let me know that it's actually being read. thanks!

Random post #3

So I get the pleasure of flying out today on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11! I am a little nervous, but when it comes to work and putting food on the table I'll do whatever I have to do. I really expect the security checkpoints to be more thorough, but it took me less than 10 minutes to make it through! Now I'm stuck here with over a hour to burn while I wait in my flight. Fun fun fun! Also this new part of the airport doesn't have any electrical outlets to spare so I can watch a movie on my laptop. I guess I'm just stuck here people watching since I also don't even have a window or tv here. This really sucks!

Thundercats

Being a child of the 80's I feel that I grew up in a great era. Especially since my actual birth year is 1980. I wouldn't tag myself as a couch potato, but I have spent a lot of time enjoying some of the many movies and television programs. Classic movies like "The Star Wars" series, The"Back II the Future" trilogy, and "The Matrix" trilogy to not so good ones like "Batteries not Included", "Howard the Duck" and "Mac and Me". Also a long list of cartoons and Animes that I have watched over and over again and others that I never want to see again. I have watched all types of sitcoms and other type of shows. (Let me move on because the list is starting to drag on!)

In this blog I'll be going over random things like this and many others. Today's subject? ThunderCats!

What a amazing cartoon for it's era! I remember watching it as a kid. Honestly Lion-O was somewhat of a punk! At least that was my opinion back then. Since a cable network is redoing the series, they are having a marathon of the original series. I'm in bliss with reminiscing on the mid-80's! It also is giving me a chance to re-examine everything and grab a better understanding of things. Now I understand that he was cheated out of growing up and he was basically a child in a grown body. It's interesting that they were able to come up with a plot line like that in that time. Now as far as basic substance within the episodes...there was none! Episodes usually revolved around pathetic story lines that usually ended the same way. It was a great pleasure to walk down memory lane with the Thundercats, but after a few episodes I find my adult brain nored of this. I'll watch a few more episodes and then move on to the next classic. My next post will be more about who I am. Thank you for reading this post and feel free to comment if you can.
